Employment
We are committed to providing equal opportunities and a barrier-free work environment.
Barriers:
- Traditional hiring processes may not meet everyone’s accessibility needs.
- Standard office equipment may not work for all employees.
What We Are Doing:
- Our job postings are available on accessible platforms like Indeed, LinkedIn, and our website.
- Candidates can apply by email.
- We accommodate applicants during recruitment and interviews when requested.
- We provide ergonomic workstations (e.g., stand-up desks and ergonomic devices).
- We work with employees to provide any needed tools or technologies.
Built Environment
Our office has two floors, and one of them is not accessible by elevator.
Barriers:
- The second floor is only accessible by stairs and cannot be modified.
- Limited accessibility in some older building features.
What We Are Doing:
- Employees or visitors who require accessibility are accommodated on the fully accessible ground floor.
- We ensure accessible meeting rooms and workspaces are available.
- Restrooms on the lower floor are accessible.
- We clearly communicate which parts of the building are accessible.
Information and Communication Technologies
As a technology company, we understand the importance of digital accessibility.
Barriers:
- Websites and digital content may not always meet accessibility standards.
- Some internal tools may not work well with assistive technologies.
What We Are Doing:
- Our website is being reviewed to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.
- We aim to ensure all internal documents are accessible (screen-reader friendly, plain language, etc.).
- We provide assistive technologies upon request, such as screen magnifiers or dictation software
Communication (other than information and communication technologies)
Clear, respectful, and accessible communication is important to us.
Barriers:
- Verbal-only communication may be inaccessible to some.
- Printed materials may not be accessible for individuals with visual impairments.
What We Are Doing:
- We offer written alternatives for spoken communication and vice versa when requested.
- We provide accessible versions of printed materials (e.g., large print, accessible PDFs).
- We train staff on how to communicate respectfully and clearly with individuals who have different accessibility needs.
Procurement of Goods, Services and Facilities
We include accessibility in our decision-making when buying new products or services.
Barriers:
- Purchased tools and technologies may not always support accessibility needs.
What We Are Doing:
- When choosing new systems or software, we consider whether they support accessibility features.
- We prioritize suppliers and tools that are known for accessibility and inclusive design.
Design and Delivery of Programs and Services
Our services are mostly remote, but we want all clients and users to have access.
Barriers:
- Clients with disabilities may have trouble using digital tools or accessing support.
What We Are Doing:
- We offer support through multiple channels (phone, email, screen-sharing).
- We ensure service platforms are accessible and easy to use.
- We train our support staff to provide accessible customer service.
Transportation
We do not offer transportation services.
Consultations
To create this plan, we:
- Spoke with staff who have lived experience with disabilities.
