At Simnet, we believe there is a better way to do IT. In fact, we are obsessively passionate about it. In 2005, Simnet was created by CEO and Founder, Ted de Vos, because of the misconception that IT needed to be complicated. We’ve stripped away the complexity to make IT simple – and effective.

When founder and CEO, Ted de Vos, grew tired of the unnecessary complexity of IT, he created Simnet, a service-driven company dedicated to marrying outstanding technology with unparalleled support-no complexities needed.

Michelle Hamer

Administrative Director

Michelle Hamer is our Director of Administration in charge of all things financial. After spending eight years working in the financial industry, she took a very important role called “mom” and focused solely on this for nearly eight years. Ready to re-enter the workforce but not wanting to be too far from her flock, she joined Simnet, a local IT company. After a seven-month contract and proving that her background in Human Resources was an added asset to the company, she joined full time and never looked back. “I truly love the variety that a smaller company offers. I can be sitting with senior management workforce planning in the morning and working directly with our clients in the afternoon. I love knowing that the decisions I make have a direct impact.”

Michelle holds a BA from Wilfred Laurier University with her post-graduate certification in Human Resources.

Jim Campbell

Director of Sales

As Director of Sales, Jim is responsible for driving the expansion of services and solutions at Simnet. Jim is very proud to be a member of the Simnet Management Team over the last 3 years and identifies key opportunities and manages strategic client, partner, and vendor relationships.

A leader in Private Cloud, Cyber Security, and Managed Services, Jim is a well-seasoned IT Sales veteran and has a winning track record that spans over 25 years. Jim brings compassion, trust, and integrity to Simnet as well as a keen ability to understand and deliver on customer requirements and best of breed Cloud, Cyber Security as a Service, and Managed Service solutions.

Since Covid, Jim has missed the human touch element of the customer engagement lifecycle and can’t wait to sit across a table with business leaders across Canada!

Sutha Nythyanandam

Team Lead, Security Analyst

Sutha worked in the IT industry for over 5 years before joining Simnet, and he has a diploma in Computer Systems and Networking. He started at Simnet on the helpdesk team in a level 1 role, continuing his education with multiple certificates which moved him forward into his ultimate career path: Security. Sutha has loved working for Simnet as it gave him the opportunities to develop his career and allowed him to pursue his specific interests in the IT field. “Another thing I like working at Simnet is that individuals bring other skills to the team to collaboratively to service customers efficiently. Since taking up the role as a SOC Analyst, I’m looking forward and enthusiastic about my next journey in the realm of Cybersecurity.”

 

 

Ryan Brundle

Infrastructure Manager

Ryan has 16 years of IT experience under his belt. He started as a junior system administrator and worked his way up to managing the Infrastructure team at Simnet. He works with a wide array of technologies to maintain both Simnet’s infrastructure and their customers, including virtualization, networking, server platforms, and more. “I immensely enjoy the culture at Simnet, the people I work with, and the fast paced environment. Working for an MSP also provides experience with different technologies and customer types.” Ryan keeps busy with his young children and has a love of tinkering and working on cars in his off time. He is a huge baseball fan and likes going to the track every so often to run.

Cedrick Fanklyn

Manager, Service Desk

Cedrick has 19 years’ experience working in the IT field, with 10 of those being in a managed service environment. His interest in IT started early and his first job was selling and repairing computers for Staples. He graduated from Centennial College for Computer Systems Networking, and in his final year worked for IBM Global Services supporting Mount Sinai & NYU Hospitals in NYC as a Level 1 Helpdesk technician. He has planned and completed over 15 office moves, from 10 to 200 person head counts.

In his spare time, Cedrick loves playing Volleyball. Gadgets and Hifi are his passion.
